The company evolved from the 50-year-old Yost Home Improvements, founded by George and Albert Yosts father and mother Albert Sr. and Catherine. While working in the home improvement field, George and Albert realized the need for additional products not already on the market. They also saw the demand for higher quality gutter products than those currently being produced by industry competitors. Their attention to detail and outstanding quality, combined with a streamlined and efficient approach, has enabled them to produce a number of innovations for the gutter industry. Yost's innovations are so unique they were awarded a United States patent on a gutter hanging device called "The Mole" Hidden Hanger Attachment, which conceals unsightly roof hanging straps.
