Yost Flooring & Design has long been recognized as the premier custom wood parquet flooring designer in Houston, Texas. We have been designing and installing European style custom wood and stone flooring creations for almost four decades, not only in the Houston metropolitan area, but all over the globe including, Canada, Amsterdam, UAE, just to name a few. We offer hand cut parquet floor designs, custom borders, inlays and medallions, all crafted by hand. We also provide custom finishes, and hand scraped distressed wood plank flooring. What is unique about our floors is that they generally have a hand eased beveled edge to the individual pieces to achieve a slightly "pillowed" look to the pattern, a look which we originally introduced in the Houston area in the late 60's. Through the years we have had to incorporate unusual and varied materials which has allowed our craftsmen to achieve a level of expertise unattained by any other company. On local jobs we normally meet with the client's interior designer and/or architect and consult with them on design ideas and then produce and install the finished concept. When we work with out of town clientele, we will offer the same services to them and provide a turnkey product or will conference call with them to design the flooring and them ship the materials with detailed installation instructions or send a supervisor to help with a reputable local floor company of their choosing.
