YankeeLake Restoration Services is a ceramic restoration studio in Upstate NY State offering professional repair, restoration and conservation of antique pottery based on a Conservationist approach, taught in the English School of repair, in the improvement of various mediums from Flow Blue stoneware to marble to porcelain. We are dedicated to the improvement of the projects provided to us to customer specifications and customer satisfaction be it cleaning or a Museum Repair, to full Invisible Restoration. We use both Chemical and Biological modalities for cleaning Pottery and Transferware depending on the character of the piece in question and well as a various means of color application and finishes. We do not re-fire pieces during restoration but rather matte, semi-gloss and high-gloss glazes are all replicated without firing, and are harder, non-yellowing and more glass-like today than ever before. These are available from Cleaning to Museum Finish to Full Invisible Restoration and all areas between depending on the customer needs, desire and value of the piece. A Conservationist approach maintains that items are to be repaired without causing further damage by drilling, chipping or grinding. Ceramic Restoration and ceramic or pottery repair should not cause harm to the piece being repaired.
