When the Yancey Brothers Company was founded in 1914, by Goodloe Yancey Jr. and B. Earle Yancey, the company sold hardware, picks, shovels and prison uniforms to government agencies. The company evolved over the years into a Caterpillar equipment dealer and has since added a number of new divisions, including Sunbelt Power Systems, Cat Rental Store, Yancey Building Construction Products and Yancey Agricultural Products.
