Woodhaven Retirement Community is the only Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Livonia, MI. We are a not-for-profit, faith-based community where active seniors can live and learn and grow. Our residents and their families take comfort in the security of having all levels of care and services, from retirement through end of life. Woodhaven's senior apartments offer residents a beautiful and restful location to enjoy their retirement: a magnificent nature preserve that offers four seasons of tranquility, beauty and color. This heavily wooded and secluded parcel of land in the heart of Livonia, on the far west side of Detroit, offers access to all the benefits of a major metropolitan area, combined with the peaceful retreat of living away from the noise and fast pace of the city. A major expressway is just 1-1/4 miles away—close enough for easy travel, but far enough away that traffic can neither be seen nor heard. The only sounds you'll hear at Woodhaven are the birds chirping and gentle breezes rustling the leaves. All of our Woodpointe Independent Living Community apartments are designed for worry-free living, from floorplans that are spacious and accessible, to fully furnished rooms and kitchens, and ample storage for your clothes and personal items. We take care of all maintence for you, and provide a range of community features and shared spaces that will make your life more enjoyable. Peace of mind is provided by making licensed nurses available 24/7 via a portable emergency response button that works throughout the building or even around the surrounding grounds. Woodhaven also offers assisted living and memory services, two distinct boutique neighborhoods under one state license. Our program is the first and longest-running facility of its kind in the Livonia area, and we create the safest, least restrictive, most home-like environment possible for your loved ones. Our employees build strong, long-term relationships with our Residents, working together with their families to create a personal service plan. Woodhaven is certified by Medicare to provide 24 hour skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Most Medicare recipients who have been hospitalized for a minimum of three days are eligible for post hospital recovery services at Woodhaven; and Medicare pays not only for the care, but also for the room and the meals. We offer Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech Therapy. Woodhaven's Adult Day Care is the only program of its kind in all of Michigan. Since 1991, we've been open every single day to serve the needs of our client families, and to provide outstanding elderly care in Livonia and the Detroit area. Many times, participants who start out reluctant to live in a retirement community become so comfortable and adjusted they choose to become permanent residents.
