Westmoreland Place offers health care services, including long-term care, short-term rehabilitation and care services for individuals suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Its Heritage Hall is a more than 25-bed rehabilitation unit and its Serenity Hall offers 12 hours of structured activities daily for patients with Alzheimer's disease and memory related disorders. The physical therapy treatment enhances motor and muscle skills and provides assistance in areas, such as walking, stairs, transfers, wheelchair mobilization, and in the use of walkers, canes, braces, and prosthetics. Its additional services include ultrasound, hot packs, whirlpool and exercises. The occupational therapy offers treatments in motion skills, muscle strengthening, fine motor coordination, balance, cognition, visual perception and activities of daily living. It offers speech pathology in cases of stroke and head injury, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's Chorea disease, Alzheimer's or any related disorders.
