Ciniza Refinery is one of the three refineries operated by the Giant Industries. The refinery performs crude distillation, hydrotreating for naphtha and distillate and provides reforming for high-octane gasoline production and fluid catalytic cracking units. In addition, the Ciniza refinery has an isomerization unit to increase the octane of other gasoline streams that enhance high-octane gasoline production. Ciniza has an alkylation unit for polymerization units to convert produced liquid petroleum gas back into gasoline. All the three refineries have similar product slates that include gasoline, diesel, propane, butane and heavy fuel oils, and Ciniza additionally produces jet fuel and is located in Jamestown, N.M. Giant Industries, headquartered in Scottsdale, Ariz., is a refiner and marketer of petroleum products. Giant owns and operates crude oil refineries in New Mexico and Virginia, a crude oil gathering pipeline system, finished products distribution terminals and a fleet of crude oil and finished product truck transports.
