Welcome to West LA Ice Service. West LA Ice Service is a family owned and operated company that has been serving the central, west, and southwest Louisiana area as well as the East Texas area for over 50 years. In 1957, Jim Shapkoff, Sr. started West LA Ice Service in Leesville, LA. He started with one plant that produced 300 pound blocks of ice that were then crushed and bagged, and sold to the public. Today, West LA Ice is run by Jim Shapkoff, Jr. and his son Jason Shapkoff. Together, they operate a state of the art facility that makes 160 tons of tube ice per day, a distribution plant in Lake Charles, LA that also produces 5 & 10 gallon water coolers for our industrial plant customers in order to meet federal OSHA guidelines. West LA Ice also has 3 more distribution plants throughout Louisiana and Texas to meet all of your ice needs.
