WabiSabi manages a thrift store in Moab, Utah, with a diverse selection of items available for purchase. Find what you need during your visit to Moab without paying a premium price! Community Aid & Recycling: We strive to minimize waste and maximize resources in our geographically isolated town. We pride ourselves in processing over 350 tons worth of donations and keeping almost all of it out of the landfill through sales, donations, art supplies, and recycling. Proceeds from the sales of donated materials are distributed to local nonprofit organizations and support WabiSabi community programs. In 2012 we gave $50,000 to our Nonprofit Partners, donated $13,500 in material goods to community organizations, awarded $5,222 in grants to community enriching projects, served 1900 winter meals, and ran 27 events, workshops and programs for Moab. Our Mission: WabiSabi is the nonprofit that receives, revalues, and redistributes needed resources to strengthen the local and national community. Our Vision: WabiSabi's hope is that one day everyone will use their resources wisely and share their excess with those in need. The Partnership To achieve WabiSabi's vision of a Moab without need, WabiSabi is dedicated to cultivating fertile ground for nonprofits to be successful and achieve their missions within the community. Our strategy is to nurture and mentor up-coming nonprofits, develop relationships with and amongst diverse nonprofits, stabilize growing nonprofits, and eventually graduate healthy nonprofits to become WabiSabi Nonprofit Alumni. WabiSabi provides unrestricted funding to these select Nonprofit Partners based upon our net proceeds and divided between them based upon numbers of votes at our store.
