Vincitores traces its roots back to the Spring of 1946, where Joseph M. Vincitore, a World War II veteran and band leader, purchased a continuing music business known as the Poughkeepsie Music Shop. This local landmark music store had been established in 1926 and continued under his stewardship. Mr. Vincitore possessed a wealth of industry experience in sheet music, band instruments and an expertise in acoustic pianos as well as in the newly emerging Organ Industry. Vincitores has prospered through a myriad of changes within the music industry and is still operated by sons Jon and Michael Vincitore.
