VIKING Chemical Company, established in 1956, is a full line distributor and supplier of commodity and specialty chemicals, serving the greater Rockford, Ill. region. The company added bulk capacity in 1959 and further supplemented lubricant blending capabilities in 1974 to become a more full-service supplier to industrial customers. The markets served by VIKING Chemical Company include metal finishing operations, water treatment facilities, chemical blending facilities and lubricant makers. VIKING Chemical Company is a member of National Association of Chemical Distributors and also a Charter member of Chemical Distribution Network, an alliance of independent chemical distributors. The firm created a VIKING Management System, a quality and environmental management system conforming to the ISO 9001-2000 quality and ISO 14001-1996 environmental standards in 2003.
