Dr. Janice E. Posey is the owner of Veterinary Holistic Healing, LLC. She graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. She studied veterinary acupuncture and is certified from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1996 and 1997. She has studied Chinese herbal medicine and food therapy at the Chi Institute in Gainesville, Florida with Dr. Huisheng Xie (DVM), a 3rd generation Chinese herbalist. The primary focus at the practice is Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine using acupuncture, herbal medicine, food therapy and supplements as needed. Western medicine is integrated as necessary, e.g. diagnostics such as bloodwork and x-rays, dental prophylaxis and surgery (spay, neuter, etc.). The goal is to look at the animal from a holistic perspective including its constitution, food, lifestyle and habits as well as what is going on medically to truly assess what's going on. The focus is to heal at a core level, not just treat symptoms.
