The VanWinkle Inn is known as a the Catskill's most comfortable lodging choice! It was built in 1830 and has a wonderful history. We pride ourselves in the comfort of our rooms and splendid decor, Complimentary coffee and tea are offered 24 x7 in the dining room. Guests will find a very nice diner in the center of town, The Tiny Diner, which serves a nice breakfast, lunch and dinner. Several nice restaurants are only minutes from our front door to include VinceAnna's (Italian American since 1945), Hollowbrook Inn which offers continental cuisine, and the Mountain View Brasserie which also offers continental cuisine. Windham and Hunter Mountains are a short ride from the Inn, championship golf courses abound nearby, mountain bikers will be delighted with the trail opportunities. Hunters are always welcome. Business people looking to escape the confines of Albany are less than 30 minutes from downtown at the inn and 20 short minutes to the NYS Thruway. Come stay! You will be glad you did. (please note that as of the fall of 2019 we became strictly a lodging facility and no longer are serving breakfast)
