The Valley Journal is a free community newspaper that covers news, sports and events throughout Lake County and the Flathead Indian Reservation in northwestern Montana. We are locally owned by three partners who work alongside our family of employees every day. Our main office is in Ronan, centrally located in the Mission Valley. Our mission is to provide Lake County and the Flathead Indian Reservation with quality community news that equally fulfills our readers' needs for local news and provides a perfect venue for businesses to spread their message to those readers through effective advertising. Our roots are set in deep in Lake County journalism. Some of us grew up here, while others chose this beautiful valley as their new home after life's path drew them here. Each member of the Valley Journal family of journalists, graphics experts, advertising sales associates and customer service representatives is devoted to putting out a quality newspaper that reaches out to readers throughout the valley. Those readers are our families, our friends and our neighbors. They are the folks standing next to us in line at the grocery store who know us as their local newspaper.
