If you are looking for an authentic experience that is what the TX is all about! We ride, work and manage our livestock in old fashion traditional ways. The ranch property and cattle spread for miles across scenic open range country. This means excellent ranch riding, seasonal cattle drives and a wide variety of seasonal working cattle activities. We ride for cattle and once a herd is gathered we start working the herd by roping calves to brand, castrate, doctor or what ever is necessary during the season. This involves a break from the saddle with the doctoring of calves, throwing calves and fun team work! We welcome guest participation, we'll be happy to help show you how it's done! Please keep in mind our ranch activities are not compulsory. If you wish to take time to laze around camp or take a ride on your own your welcome to do so. We also take our suburban out to meet the herd with lunch and supplies please feel free to go with our driver if you don't want to miss out on the cattle activities. During the evening we enjoy relaxing under a mired of stars around a warm open camp fire reminiscing the day with a favorite beverage, stories, tunes or guitar. We also enjoy a good roping match, cards, cribbage or what ever it may be. The TX has over 75 saddle horses to choose from.They are used for all our necessary ranch riding, cattle drives and cattle work. My husband and daughter Hip and Desiree know the horses inside and out. We can provide a good horse for every riding level. They are gentle natured, sure footed, they know how to pick a path with ease and they'll take good care of their riders. The attached photo was taken wrangling saddle horses to the camp corrals.Our cow camps are a great experience too! They are located at original home stead sites. We will return to camp everyday. Everything is set up and provided except your personal gear. Our camp has a base log cabin. This is where excellent ranch style home cooked meals are prepared and served. we want you to feel like part of the family and one of the cowboys. Each camp has simple out buildings such as out houses /toilet and showering facility. A wash table with basins and fresh water for daily washing and fresh water is readily available in the cabin with hot and cold drink mixes, etc.We provide free Billings, MT transportation to and from the TX Ranch.
