General Info:

Southern Hills Medical Center has served the Nashville community for more than 25 years. Built in 1979, the hospital opened October 15 and served mostly southern Davidson County residents. Since that time, the hospital has grown to as many as 180 beds, has seen major internal and external renovations and serves three counties, which include Davidson, Williamson and Rutherford. Southern Hills medical staff has more than 300 members representing nearly 20 specialties. All are board certified or board eligible. Family Practice Associates has grown from just one physician to more than 10. The hospital's emergency department continues to be one of the busiest in the city. In 2004, emergency room visits totaled more than 35,000. Southern Hills was one of the first to pioneer bedside registration and was one of the first hospitals in middle Tennessee to offer community-based angioplasty. Southern Hills Medical Center is located in Nashville, Tenn.
