About Me: I began Tricked Out Treats officially in January of 2010. Unofficially, my journey began when my eldest son turned one, back in 2005. In addition, I am a self-proclaimed Food Network junkie, with a particular fondness of the show Ace of Cakes. The love for my son (and the 2 sons that followed) and the unbelievable cakes made by the crew at Charm City Cakes, only further fueled my desire to create fantastic cakes for all my friends and family. After the wonderful feedback from everyone regarding their cakes, I decided I should open up my talents to the public. Tricked Out Treats was born! I have no formal training making cakes what-so-ever. I have never taken a class, nor been to culinary school. I simply love cake and cookies and try to put everything I have into every cake I create. I work out of my home, with my one oven and a whole lot of fun! Perhaps some day my love for cakes will expand to a full-time gig, but for now, I bake and decorate cakes and cookies for others in my spare time, while taking care of my 3 little boys. I love the challenges that come with creating a 3-D sculpture out of cake! I enjoy working with fondant because I get to play like a child does with their play-doh. I love how the smell of a freshly-baked cake permeates my entire home. Everytime I create a cake, I find something else to love--it never gets old and it's never the same.
