Translectric was established with the copyright of the device called Service Mate, a device able to provide emergency electrical power for motor driven tools. The company was originally set up in a basement. Translectric began to expand and sold back-up alarms on heavy equipment and moved into a 5,000-square-foot block-and-brick single-story building.
