At THRIVE, we strive to meet and exceed the needs of our clients.  While our primary focus is on the education, health, and development of children and adolescents, we recognize the adults in a young persons life as a critical element in fostering healthy development.  We offer a full range of individual and group mental health services, therapeutic interventions, and assessment services to children, adolescents, adults, and families and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems.   THRIVE services include individual therapy for children, adolescents and adults as well as group therapy. Group and individual therapy focus in on Asperger's, anxiety, ADHD, depression, social skills, peer support, and small group play therapy to list a few. Individual therapy and evaluation are based on the needs of the individual.  Clinicians will discuss client goals for therapy and plan a course of treatment accordingly.  The social skills program is an interactive psychoeducational program designed to focus in on social skills with school-aged children and young adults in a small group setting. Topics of discussion may include bullying, peer pressure, and peer rejection. The social skills program is designed to help children and young adults form their social identity, strengthen their social skills, and improve their decision making processes. Groups are normally formed based upon characteristics such as age, gender, and social maturity. Groups activities strive to enhance social skills by using such techniques as role playing, play therapy, behavioral management, problem solving, peer discussion, and homework assignments. Parental involvement is strongly advised in helping the child succeed with his/her newfound skills. Group times will vary based upon the group your child falls under but all groups are offered after school during the week.
