General Info:
The Victory Project is a registered 501c3 faith-based, non-profit organization. Since 2007 we have specialized in mentoring court-involved and disadvantaged young men in Dayton, Ohio. The Victory Project breaks down the walls of captivity. By undoing the youths isolated experiences, we expose them to the potential of a positive socioeconomic standing through education, entrepreneurship and enlightenment. Our youth no longer depend on a criminal or social system which can enable their destructive lifestyles. Finding freedom and independence by obtaining marketable skills which will allow them to compete in the world. Empowering our young men to discover the life God intended. This vision is directly reflected in our motto: Its Less About What We Do And More About What We Undo. As well as our guiding verse in Matthew 5:14. Education: We provide a fully accredited online high school and GED prep classes through the Greater Ohio Virtual School. We also offer weekly, individualized homework assistance and tutoring sessions. Our facility is equipped with a computer lab learning center and reading library. Entrepreneurship: Our entrepreneurial program has launched two small businesses which the youth, alongside their business mentors ,operate; exposing them to entrepreneurial competition and vital job experience. In addition, we obtain socially responsible documentation for our young men, including: birth certificates, Social Security cards, state identification cards, drivers license, and voting registration. Enlightenment: We provide life skills, recreational, and faith-based activities. One night a week, our young men participate in an unsolicited act of kindness for the business community. We also share dinner with our young men five nights a week, building consistent and trusting relationships. All faith-based interests are considered elective for participation.
