About Diane Dewberry: Diane owned and operated a grooming business in Boston for 25 years. Many of her clients' dogs, including her own rescued dog, Spot, had allergies and skin issues. Diane's mission became to try and determine what caused all these dogs to have such chronic health issues. It soon became clear that the number one reason for these conditions was diet. With Spot, she found that none of the conventional protocols were effective in resolving the chronic nature of his health issues over the long term. Diane was compelled to delve into the holistic world. Over the next 20 years, Diane took many classes and spoke to pioneers of the holistic animal nutrition movement about how she could help to improve these dogs' lives. When she sold her grooming business, she knew that she would follow my passion and continue to help pets and their people live healthier lives. That's when she opened The Healthy Animal and now the great products she carries in her store are also available online. About Frederica Vechhi: Freddy has been with The Healthy Animal since 2003. She has dedicated her life to animal health and wellness, doing canine massage since 2001 and feeding her own animals naturally and doing alternative medicine for over 20 years. Prior to joining The Healthy Animal, she was a veterinarian technician at Angell Memorial Hospital in Jamaica Jamaica Plain MA, and is an experienced dog groomer.
