TAMMRA CASCIO is an attorney for the firm of Heidelberg, Steinberger, Colmer & Burrow as Of Counsel in their Metro-Jackson office where her main focus is working with clients in the legislative and regulatory arenas providing governmental consulting, lobbying, and public relations services. Ms. Cascio has been active in the legal profession and the business community at both the state and local levels for 20 years. She was named a Woman Lawyer Trailblazer by the Mississippi Bar, served as Chair of the Women in Profession Committee for two years, and worked as Editor of The Mississippi Lawyer magazine for two years. Currently, Ms. Cascio serves as Chair of the Business Law Section of the Mississippi Bar and was selected as a Fellow of the Young Lawyers. Also, she serves on the grant committee for the IOLTA fund that is administered by the Mississippi Bar Foundation. Ms. Cascio received her B.A. from Murray State University and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law. She served as General Counsel for Gulf Guaranty Life Insurance Company for 15 years overseeing litigation, risk prevention, and governmental relations. In 2015, she was selected to serve on the Advisory Board for the Ole Miss School of Risk Management and Insurance. Additionally, she currently serves as Executive Director and Legislative Liaison for the Insurance Coalition of Mississippi. In 2010, she was awarded the Distinguished Service Award by the Mississippi Bar. She was also honored as a Fellow by the Mississippi Bar Foundation in 2016. Ms. Cascio also is a Past President of the Mississippi Corporate Counsel Association and serves as Fundraising Chair for the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers Project. She has been selected by the Mississippi Secretary of State to serve in various advisory groups to study and revise corporate and business related statutes. In 2012, she was named one of the 50 Leading Businesswomen of Mississippi by the Mississippi Business Journal. In her community, Ms.Cascio serves as a volunteer for Stewpot Community Services, Cub Scout Pack 15, and has served on various PTO Boards. In 2012, the staff and teachers of Ann Smith Elementary honored her as Parent of the Year. She also is an alumnus of Leadership Jackson and has served in the Advisory Group for Mississippi Legal Services. She has two sons, Robert and Reed. They attend Pinelake Church and live in Madison, Mississippi.
