SWEL helps African American and other ethnic high school and college students with an interest in law school. SWEL started with the efforts of the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati/Cincinnati Bar Association Round Table in 1988. SWEL offers summer internships to African American and ethnically diverse high school and college students with an interest in law. SWEL is Cincinnati's premier summer law program for high school and college students. SWEL affords students the opportunity to gain an appreciation of the rigors of a career in law and the preparation needed to be successful in such a career.
