Our in-house fabrication department features master craftsmen working with state-of-the-art machinery. Our skilled craftsmen and stone masons can transform raw stone into just about any shape or from you desire. Our team of Superior Stone masons have years of experience. Many have worked alongside Buddy Sims. Our installers start out as apprentices and learn the fine details and skills required to measure and install stone. Courtesy and respect for your property are always their top priority. SUPERIOR STONE LEADERSHIP The founder and President of Superior Marble & Stone, G.D. Buddy Sims has been involved in the stone industry for his entire life. As a child, he worked with his father in the terrazzo business in Orlando, Florida and in 1960 ; Sims moved to Virginia and began working in the stone industry. As of 1965 he successfully completed a three-year apprenticeship as a marble mason. In 1972 he started his own business as a stone installation contractor. In 1985 he launched Superior Marble & Stone, Inc We specialize in fabrication and installation of natural stone ; granite, marble, limestone, onyx, quartzite, travertine, slate and engineered stone. With over 50 years of experience, Superior Marble & Stone can provide you with the expertise and resources you need for your next stone project.
