As the pioneer of the retail biometric industry we expect to capture 1.5% annual growth within the industry as we break ground with our innovated products and services. Biometric devices have existed several decades without consumer awareness and notification.
StoneGate's fingerprint technology employs Pattern Based, Passive Capacitance with Optical Sensor, Live-Scan and AES 256 bit; Pasisve Capacitance uses a charging cycle to apply a voltage to the skin before measurement takes place. This measure the depth between the scanning plate, distance between the ridges and the valley of the fingerprint minutia to create a capacitance voltage, which is used to create an image of the scan. (This measures the air pockets between the fingerprint pattern “ridge endings†are measured for depth between the fingerprint ridge and scanning plate; thereafter a small electrical voltage is applied via ultrasound – this determined whether the fingerprint is alive or dead)
The depth between the dermal layer and the sensor plate equates as a numeric value, which is used in the scan algorithm. The gathered data is then encrypted using a 256 bit encryption algorithm to store and secure the data.
This application allows detection of wet, dirty, oily and minimal scratched of the dermal skin layer.
In conclusion the electrical capacitance of the fingerprint is measured, calculated and compared to determine whether the finger is alive, Pattern-based Active Capacitance is used to measure the fingerprint minutia (ridge ending, splits, valleys and bifurcation point), data encryption is employed to secure the gathered information and live-scan is used to verify and identify the captured scan for recognition and granted access.
