Floating is used for many reasons such as stress relief, pain relief, reducing of the effects of jet lag, better sleep, athletic recovery, and meditation. Floatation is the process of immersing yourself in 10 inches of water heated up to skin temperature so that your brain does not recognize where your skin ends and the water begins. There is no light and there is no sound in the pod either. This results in minimal sensory input into your brain by blocking out the chaos of your daily life. 1000 pounds of Epsom salt is dissolved into the water. This allows you to effortlessly float on top of the water. You are virtually weightless and therefore blood pressure can drop, and blood flow can increase and get to places that it may not always get such as in your joints and spinal column. This helps by reducing muscle tension, and lactic acid buildup. Each float room is private with its own shower and locking door
