St. John Medical Center Behavioral Health programs are specially designed to help those suffering from mental illness and behavioral problems find ways to cope with life's problems and lead productive lives. St. John brings together physicians, psychologists, registered nurses, licensed and certified therapists, counselors and social workers to offer comprehensive care for those battling issues, including depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, drug and alcohol abuse and more. General outpatient services include abuse survival, biofeedback, brief therapy, grief work, individual, couple and family counseling, play therapy, post-traumatic stress treatment, stress reduction/coping skills, group counseling and pain management, and drug and alcohol education classes. Chemical dependency programs include an intensive outpatient program, which is designed for clients who are beginning or have begun the recovery process, but who continue to need a structured support base involving education, coping tools, and a 12-step program. An aftercare program which focuses on relapse prevention, and a drug and alcohol education program is also available.
