Our people work on the latest computer workstations with the associated servers, large format plotters, printers, and multi-function printers. Sponseller Group, Inc is one of the largest multi disciplined engineering firms in the Toledo, Ohio area. We are focused on providing engineering and design services to manufacturers, processors and utilities. The company was started by Harold Sponseller a mechanical engineer with Owens-Illinois. Originally he began by completing engineering drawings in his basement. Later he rented a small office with a couple of drafters and completed engineering drawings for local manufacturers. Then companies desired to have a person work directly on their site, so people were temporarily sent out to work at client sites. Later a machine shop was added to complete small parts or assemblies. This was later closed due to the difficulty of competing with existing owner/operator machine shops. It became more economical to buy work from them with less risk. About twenty years ago the company added a structural group that completes structural, facility, and piping projects for manufacturers in Northwest Ohio and into Michigan. These have become the strongest departments within the company. We work in close coordination with a number contractors and fabricators. When local manufacturers are considering updating or expanding their operations, they call on Sponseller Group that has a reputation for quality drawings, reasonable pricing, and excellent client service relationships. With a 35-year history of providing professional engineering, planning and surveying services, SGI continues its focus and dedication to provide high quality design services for its clients.
