Spare Room Studio Photography is a traveling lifestyle portrait studio based in the Greater Seattle-Tacoma Area, specializing in family, senior, newborn, milestone, maternity, and studio portraits. My name is Jamie, and I would love to be your photographer! I am a military spouse and mother of two currently living and working in Auburn, Washington. With the frequent family relocation that a military life demands my work experience can best be described as "eclectic." Photography has been the one constant passion since I gave birth to my own children and could not resist the temptation to capture every moment. While I love my children dearly, my interest slowly evolved from simply capturing snapshots of them, to capturing quality images of-- well, everything. I was suddenly captivated with the lens, the lighting, the angle, the background, and the opportunity to create images that commanded attention. We live in an age where technology has given us an audience for our family photo albums (social media)-- I love that! Continuing encouragement from family and friends inspires me on my path to self improvement. Learning to take a great photo has been such an exciting achievement and challenge. Opening this portable portrait studio and operating out of the spare room of our home is the first step in a grand adventure into the world of "professional" photography.
