The nearly 700-bed Otter Creek Correctional Center is part of the Corrections Corporation of America that specializes in the design, building and management of prisons, jails and detention facilities and provides inmate transportation services in partnership with the government. The CCA is one of the largest corrections systems in the United States. CCA has approximately 69,000 beds in more than 60 facilities that include nearly 40 owned facilities under contract for management in more than 20 states. The company manages more than 62,000 inmates that include males, females and juveniles at all security levels and does business with all federal corrections agencies and more than a dozen local municipalities. CCA offers a variety of rehabilitation and educational programs, such as basic education, life skills and employment training and substance abuse treatment. It also provides health care, food services and work and recreational programs. Otter Creek Correctional Center is located in Wheelwright, Ky.
