Taking advantage of the breathtaking wilderness  surrounding the Colligate Peaks and the  Arkansas River valley in Central Colorado, Sonshine Wilderness Retreat (SWR) is a place for adults to get away from the daily distractions that may hinder their relationship with God.   SWR offers opportunities for excursions into the wilderness to experience creation, allowing individuals to reconnect with the Creator and replenish their spirit.SWR offers a variety of adventures, ranging from relaxing at base camp to a multitude of excursions into the wilderness. SWR  partners with the local outfitters to give the total wilderness experience. With an ala carte style trip programing, SWR can customize the experience to your group’s liking. Each trip will also include a spiritual component.  We will work directly with your group leader to craft devotionals / activities tailored specifically for your  group. Public camp grounds will serve as home base for the groups. Your group will need to provide your own camping gear (i.e. tent, sleeping bag, mat, etc.). SWR can provide the meals for your group, if you choose this option.
