Silgan Holdings is a leading North American manufacturer of consumer goods packaging products with annual sales of more than $2.3 billion. Silgan operates more than 60 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada. In North America, the company is the largest supplier of metal containers and convenience ends for food products and is a leading supplier of metal and plastic closures for food products, and plastic containers for personal care products. Much of the company's rapid growth came in the last two decades, when Silgan Containers was officially formed from the Carnation Company's can division.
