Signs by JK LLC has just recently entered the sign world this past July of 2008. Amazingly we have already developed a solid customer base and a good reputation for putting out a quality item, at a fair price, in a timely manner. By way of introduction, my name is John Kelly, owner of signs by JK LLC. During my younger days, I always loved to draw. As I grew, I switched my love to lettering. While I never perused my dream of being a full time artist/lettering guy, I did do several jobs over the years and was always told to stick with the talent I was blessed with. Anyway, as years went on I strayed away from the art scene and my hours of drawing. In 1984, I started working for a company and for the next 23 years I dedicated myself to my job. Putting my true love on hold. While it took an unfortunate situation for my job and me to part ways, we did. And in January of 2007 it became official. I was unemployed for the 1st time in 25 years. I do not know who they are but they say "when one door closes - another one opens" How true. I immediately started hand painting some signs for my cousin's business, Eddie's speed shop in Bayonne NJ. Luck stayed on my side and in April of that same year, my best friend, introduced me to Rich and Gordon Hilton. They own and operate a successful auto body shop in Matawan NJ that also facilitates their own sign shop/business as well. The Hiltons welcomed me into their shop and the fun began.
