DOUBLE PANE INSULATED TEMPERED GLASS - Glass is the clear choice of glazing materials in windows over any other material. Tempered glass will not scratch easily as can other glazing materials, and glass does not fade, haze or yellow. Choose from among several choices: our standard bronze, clear, or smoke. You may add solar reflective, low-e, or laminated coatings (for hurricane areas).
DURABLE, SOLID ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION - Constructed of solid welded aluminum, with neutral bronze colored, powder coated aluminum caps. No wood or plastic in the frame to rot or degrade in the hot sun. Aluminum will not crack or rust from weather exposure.
LIFETIME GUARANTEE - All S.I.G. Skylights frames carry a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The glazing units (insulated glass) carry a 5-year warranty. Liability of the manufacturer under this guarantee shall not exceed supplying another skylight of similar size, type and color.
SELF-FLASHING, DECK MOUNT SPECIAL FEATURES
EASE OF INSTALLATION - The S.I.G. Skylight is designed for ease of installation for the pro or the do-it-yourselfer. Due to its 4-5/8" self-flashing design, all that is required is to remove some shingles, cut the opening, seal around the opening under and on top of the flange, screw it down and replace the shingles. All skylights are pre-assembled at the factory; all you do is install and enjoy. For low pitched roofs, we recommend the use of self-sealing roofing membrane on the sides and top of the skylight, under and over our curb flange.
NOTHING ELSE TO BUY - No curbs to buy. No flashing kits to buy because our self flashing skylight has a curb flange of 4-5/8". The operable skylight even includes an insect screen already installed.
WIDEST FLANGE IN THE INDUSTRY (4-5/8”) - This provides maximum sealing surface to insure a leak- free installation. Aluminum may be sealed with any quality sealer.
CONDENSATION GUTTER - Traps any moisture that condenses on the underside of the glass and carries it to the weep holes and back to the outside.
WEEP HOLES - The lower two corners have weep holes to allow moisture to exit the skylight back to the outside. Our standard placement is on the narrow dimension; however, you may request that the weep holes be placed on the long dimension for horizontal mounting.

TWO SIZES OF CAPS – Choose a 1” drop below the curb face, or a 2” drop below the curb face.
