Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center has been operational for more than 65 years. Located in Greenvale, N.Y., the community center offers a wide variety of services and programs, such as fully equipped gymnasium; indoor swimming pool; aqua aerobics and instructional activities; fitness center; functional strength training and cardio equipment; and free weights room. The center s sports and fitness services include personal training sessions, indoor track, free group exercise classes, aerobics and spinning programs for senior citizens, kickboxing, pilates, yoga and the Miriam Nelson StrongWomen Program. It also offers rock climbing sessions, indoor ropes course and adventure programs, outdoor tennis courts, deck area, children s playground and poolside caf , tae kwon do and karate classes, and teen friendship and young adult activity groups. Additonally, the center provides special programs that includes social skill building groups, after school programs, autism and spectrum disorders solutions, adult day care, summer camps, family center, vacation programs, birthday parties, expressive therapies and preteen classes.
