Marisa Laursen, CAS is a practitioner of Ayurveda, a form of holistic medicine. Ayurveda, which literally means ?the knowledge and wisdom of life?, originated in India over 5,000 years ago and has been continuously practiced ever since. It is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science in the world, often called ?the mother of all healing?, and is the healing side of yoga. Ayurveda literally addresses the root cause of disease and utilizes herbs, diet, lifestyle, purification techniques, meditation, aromatherapy, yoga, breathing techniques, and an endless number of healing modalities to achieve health and wellness. Marisa Laursen is a graduate of the California College of Ayurveda, a California state-approved college for the study of Ayurveda. She has a clinical practice in Chino, CA and is a senior faculty member at the California College of Ayurveda.
