Founded in 1984, Shadwell Farms encompasses more than 3,200 acres dedicated to the breeding, training and development of thoroughbred racehorses. The farm can accommodate in excess of 160 mares and their offsprings. Shadwell s stallion division, Nashwan Stud, is home to seven stallions, Aljabr, Dayjur, Dumaani, Intidab, Kayrawan, Sahm and Swain. The stallions are supported by a prestigious broodmare band which have produced the winners of a number of classic races, including Sakhee in the Prix de l Arc de Triomphe, Nashwan in the Epsom Derby and One Thousand Guineas, Erhaab in the Epsom Derby, Shadayid in the English One Thousand Guineas, Harayir in the English One Thousand Guineas, Mehthaaf in the Irish One Thousand Guineas, Snow Bride in the Epsom Oaks and Ta Rib in the French One Thousand Guineas. In addition, Shadwell has produced more than 70 group winners. Shadwell Farm is located in the heart of the Bluegrass Region in Lexington, Ky.
