Segrest Farms has four outdoor farms that total 145 acres and 987 ponds. The company buys from ornamental freshwater fish farms in Florida. It also imports ornamental freshwater fish from farms throughout the world. The company began operation in 1961 with 16 aquariums. Segrest sells only to retail pet stores but does have a selection of items for hobbyists.
