At the Seattle Breast Center at Northwest Hospital, we believe that every woman has a better chance of fighting breast cancer if she understands the risk factors, how to detect the disease, and the options for treatment. The Center offers a variety of services and resources for our patient community, from screening and prevention services to support groups and education. Our comprehensive care begins with state-of-the-art, digital screening mammograms, utilizing the latest technology including a Computer-Assisted Detection (CAD) system that aids our radiologists in the early detection of breast cancer. If follow-up studies are needed, our board-certified breast imaging physician specialists may recommend various procedures based on the patients individual situation. These studies include: Screening mammograms. Diagnostic mammograms. Breast ultrasound. Stereotactic guided needle biopsy. Ultrasound guided needle biopsy. Ultrasound guided excisional breast biopsy. Breast MRI and MRI guided needle biopsy. The Seattle Breast Center at Northwest Hospital was the first non-academic facility in the Seattle area to offer breast MRI biopsy.
