Roplast Industries, Inc. was founded in 1990 in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains to manufacture environmentally friendly, high quality, low-density polyethylene bags. Today its facilities have expanded to a 140,000 square feet custom built facility. Roplast prints exclusively with environmentally friendly water based inks. Its presses have a lay down line print and the ability to print screened and process work. Its stack press prints up to 65 line screen whereas the central impression presses print up to 110. Its standard inks have gloss but can also print with matte inks. About 50% of its business is in retail carrier bags for department stores and grocery markets. In these markets it encourages reuse and recycling where it is possible and practical. The other 50% of its business is in industrial markets where it manufactures bags for tortilla, frozen food, fruit, mailers, fresh cut produce (including bags requiring breathable films, anti-fog films and hermetic seals), compost, heat resistant bags, anti-stat bags, as well as coex film rollstock for automated horizontal and vertical form fill and seal packaging applications.
