Welcome to Riverbluff  Counseling & Consulting. My name is Colleen O’Leary.  My husband, Marlo Skurdal, and I are semi-retired Licensed Psychologists. Together we have over 40  years of experience. Although semi-retired, we have a passion for helping people get through tough times.  Whether you are an individual who is feeling alone and overwhelmed,  a couple experiencing difficulties between yourselves, or with members of your family, we are here for you.  Our approach is to counsel as a team.  To individuals we bring our cumulative experiences and our most helpful theoretical perspectives to offer you help.  In couple counseling  we can relate to both individuals without showing preference, as some people may not feel comfortable talking with only a woman or man. We provide that balance! Additionally, we have extensive experience working with individuals from a variety of social, cultural and religious backgrounds. There comes a time in everyone's life when challenges present themselves and the changes of life become unbearable to handle alone. These are the times when working through various life issues with a counselor, or psychotherapist, are helpful and transformational for one's growth and ongoing happiness. We tell our clients that we are here to help them, and to think of us as a resource from which to gather new information, tools and skills. We don't have a magic wand to make everything better, but what we do have through our professional/clinical training is the ability to guide you with new insight, skills to utilize in daily life as well as tools to cope and deal with life's challenges and changes.
