RINALDI PERFORMANCE is owned and operated by Melanie Rinaldi, a former Olympic-level athlete who competed at a top international level in the sport of Springboard and Platform Diving. For 20 years, she trained full-time to maintain her status on Canada’s National Team internationally ranking 4th in the world at one time. The demands on her body lead to 3 reconstructive surgeries (knee & shoulder), as well as, a rigid thoracic, compressed low back and hip. This 4-time international medalist discovered the GYROTONIC Expansion System in 2008 and immediately saw an improvement in the overall health of her body, especially in the movement of her spine and joints. As a result, she introduced it to her everyday training regimen as a method of alternative rehabilitation, wellness, and especially to improve her sports performance. The addition of Gyrotonic exercises into her program allowed Melanie to continue competing at a highly competitive level post-surgery well into her thirties against all odds. Upon her retirement as a professional athlete, Melanie immediately became licensed and certified in GYROTONIC Level 1 & 2, GYROKINESIS 1 & 2, Gyrotonic for Elite Athletes, Gyrotonic Applications for Healing & Rejuvenating the Hands and Feet, Gyrotonic for Pre & Post Natal Applications, as well as, the Specialized Equipment Gyrotoner, Jumping Stretching Board and Archway. She is also USAW Sports Performance Certified and a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Melanie helps CrossFit athletes remain injury-free by teaching advanced mobility and expansion techniques to keep their bodies flexible and agile. Melanie now uses all of her athletic and injury experience coupled with Gyrotonic training to help others feel better and reach their goals, whether it be to be the best at their sport, improve posture or be pain-free while at home or work. She is determined and driven to take her clients to their best level.
