Rebecca Berman M.Ed., RDN, CNS, CHES is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Health Education Specialist who has over twenty five years of experience in the nutrition counseling and education fields. She has considerable experience helping individuals develop more healthful eating habits and employs a holistic approach to education by considering one’s physical and emotional health. Rebecca believes that mindfulness and healthful eating are intricately related and helps individuals listen to their inner wisdom. Rebecca is a board-certified nutrition specialist through the American College of Nutrition, and holds certifications in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, Adult Weight Management, and Child and Adolescent Weight Management. Prior to joining Portrait Health Centers, Rebecca co-created and co-managed a nutrition counseling practice and was one of several registered dietitian nutritionists who provided nutrition education and counseling to individuals of all ages. For twenty years, Rebecca was a dietitian on college and university campuses where she provided nutrition counseling for students and staff, presented classes on a variety of nutrition topics, and was involved in menu and recipe development. She has created nutrition and health web sites and a variety of educational material. Rebecca has been interviewed by U.S. News and World Report, The Vegetarian Times, The Associated Press, Living Without Magazine, and numerous trade publications.
