The company s flagship product is its Powersweep 2000, which is a high power tunable laser designed for externally modulated transmitters. Princeton Optronics was founded in 1993 as Princeton Electronic Systems. A pioneer in RF and microwave engineering, PES was re-named Princeton Optronics in 2000 to reflect and accelerate its core contributions in optical technology. Working closely with organizations such as DOD, DARPA and NASA, the company established its expertise in high performance fiber optic and microwave technologies through the successful execution of numerous SBIR&D contracts. In parallel, it developed its commercial business gaining recognition as the technology leader in its voltage controlled oscillator and synthesizer product lines.
