The Pierce County Human Services Department provides a range of services to deal with social and economic difficulties, mental health problems, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and developmental disabilities, child neglect and abuse, and aging issues. It provides community education programs for changing community and social conditions that influence individuals with alcohol and drug abuse problems. The department offers a range of services, such as medical transportation, respite care, psychological testing and various outpatient services. The Pierce County Human Services Department offers counseling services for marital and divorce issues; grief counseling; situational and maturational crises; child, adolescent and adult developmental problems; nuclear and remarried family concerns; and parent-child issues. The department is located in Ellsworth, Wis.
