It offers the Triad program, which develops, expands and implements effective crime prevention and safety programs for senior citizens in Virginia. The sheriff s office provides a sex offender community awareness program that assists citizens in searching offenders and provides geographic risk assessment related to offenders. It is also responsible for civil processes, courtroom security, administration, jail operations and transportation of inmates.
