Do you find yourself feeling stuck, lost, sad, worried all the time? Are you struggling with feelings of anxiety, having problems in a relationship, experiencing difficulties communicating, or having issues with self esteem? I want to help. Led by the belief that people are experts regarding their own lives, I will work with you to examine your inner life without judgement and develop new skills for emotional resilience. Armed with these tools, you will begin to see that you already possess the power to make the changes you desire. Peaceful Roots Counseling believes in teaching people strategies to break free from painful and habitual ways of thinking, feeling, and acting in order to find peace. I started Peaceful Roots Counseling as a way to unite my deep and lifelong desire to help others with my passion for the philosophy of yoga. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, located in Tampa, Florida. I graduated from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts seven years ago with my Master’s Degree in Social Work. I have been working in the social services field for the last twelve years. I have worked in a variety of environments, including schools, inpatient and outpatient settings, and with a diverse population, ranging from very young children to the elderly. In addition to being trained and licensed as a Clinical Social Worker, I have over five hundred hours of training in yoga philosophy and instruction and am a registered Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance.
