Artist: Name: Luis Matos Patiri Hometown: Bloomfield, New Jersey Prior Art Experience: Matos has participated in various collective shows in different countries, being the most important "Pintura Digital versus Pintura Clasica" (Digital Paint vs Classic Paint), where young artists combined traditional methods and electronic paintbox. He moved to USA, where he is trying new materials and new motives on canvas. He has participated in various international exhibitions, where he has obtained many awards. His work can be found in private collections and galleries in the Caribbean, new York and South Florida.Artists statement: born in the Dominican Republic. He studied at Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (National School of Fine Arts) in the capital city of Santo Domingo. At the same time, he was working as Graphic Designer for TV-13 and as Associate member of Pixel S.A., the first computer animation and graphic design company in the Dominican Republic. He also studied Graphic Design at the famous Altos de Chavon School of Design
