The Department of Transportation works under the government of Pasadena, Calif., and designs, constructs, and operates state s transportation infrastructure systems, buildings, and other facilities for citizens. It maintains a planning and development division that is responsible for transportation planning and permitting for various projects. The department also reviews transportation and traffic impacts due to development projects, addresses neighborhood traffic issues, and reviews and analyzes other traffic-related capital improvement projects. The department additionally enforces parking laws and issues citations.
