The company grew by supplying difficult to produce Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor products to the aerospace, military, medical, telecommunications, computer, and automotive markets. Ceramic chip capacitors are multilayer polycrystalline ceramic and metal composites, complex in their structure, behavior, and application. Product offerings include surface mount capacitors from the 0402 case size to larger high voltage units for commercial and high reliability applications. Novacap also specializes in application specific capacitors and capacitor assemblies. The company is one of several subsidiaries of Dover Technologies, which includes companies such as Universal Instruments and DEK, major purveyors of equipment to the electronics industry.
